Colorado Ski Country Gears Up for Spring with Events and Activities Galore

Denver, Colo. – February 19, 2014 – As we near the height of the ski season in the Rocky Mountain West, Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts have a full calendar of events, deals, promotions, and activities for the whole family in addition to snow conditions that rival the greatest seasons in a generation. Between now and the end of March, guests at CSCUSA resorts can participate in a variety of fun racing events, catch a range of concerts, learn new tricks in the terrain park, partake in some of the most unusual scavenger hunts imaginable, and so much more.

Mid-season Snowstorm Covers Colorado Ski Country in Deep, Dry Powder

Denver, Colo. – February 10, 2014 – The second half of Colorado’s skiing and snowboarding season started in style this weekend as all 21 Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts reported significant new snowfall. With an additional 3-6 inches of snow expected Monday, snowriders in Colorado are enjoying the best conditions in North America with the two historically snowiest months still to come.

Mid-week Storm Piles More New Snow on Colorado Ski Country USA

Powder continues to descend on ski resorts throughout Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) as winter in the Rocky Mountains shifts into high gear. Ahead of what looks to be another great week of skiing and snowboarding, winter storms have again brought new snowfall to all 21 CSCUSA member resorts. Up to 22 inches of new snow has fallen in the last 48 hours, with steady accumulation expected to continue through Sunday.

New Snow Blankets All Corners of Colorado Ski Country USA

Denver, Colo. – January 31, 2014 – A strong winter storm has delivered a bounty of powdery new snow to all 21 Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts, promising a Super Bowl weekend of great snowriding. In the last 48 hours, up to 29 inches has fallen for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy, and more is on the way. So far, CSCUSA resorts have received 19.5 inches of new snow on average; 18 resorts have recorded double-digit snow totals, and nine resorts have recorded two feet or more of fresh powder.

Powder Reigns All Across Colorado Ski Country USA

Denver, Colo. – January 14, 2014 – A widespread winter storm that entered Colorado last Wednesday has blanketed all corners of Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) in snow, delivering powder days at all 21 CSCUSA resorts. This most recent weather system has dumped up to 31 inches on grateful snowriders in some places with more snow to come today. Since the storm began late last week, CSCUSA resorts have received 20.0 inches of new snow on average; 18 resorts have recorded double-digit snow totals, and seven resorts have enjoyed two feet or more of fresh powder.

Colorado Ski Country Resorts Promote Slopewise Skiing and Riding for National Safety Month

Denver, Colo. – January 7, 2014 – January is National Safety Month at ski resorts across America, and Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member resorts are hosting special safety-related programs and activities all month long to raise awareness and demonstrate the many ways they work to keep the slopes safe every day. Throughout January resorts are working to educate guests about on-mountain safety and responsibilities. This is happening with a variety of activities at the resorts and in some cases in local mountain communities with resort staff visiting local schools to educate kids on safe skiing and snowboarding.

January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month in Colorado Ski Country USA

Denver, Colo. – December 18, 2013 – January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) resorts are offering deals to entice kids and adults to come to the mountains and give skiing and snowboarding a try, sharpen their skills or pick up a new discipline. In addition to CSCUSA’s First Class program, which provides a free beginner lesson and equipment rental to qualifying fifth graders in January, resorts are offering significantly discounted lessons and Learn to Ski and Snowboard packages that include lift tickets, equipment rentals, and lessons taught by highly trained professional instructors.

Colorado Ski Country USA’s First Class Program Kicks off in January

DENVER, Colo. – December 10, 2013 – Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) today announced the return of the complimentary lesson component to its popular 5th Grade Passport program: First Class. Launched in 2010, First Class provides one free beginner ski or snowboard lesson, including rental equipment, for 5th Grade Passport holders who are new to both the sports of skiing and snowboarding. These lessons, in coordination with Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, are provided at CSCUSA resorts during the month of January.
