There’s no getting around it: resort parking lots fill up quickly, especially on powder days, and Colorado Ski Country USA has plenty of those. Savvy skiers and riders know that a great day on the slopes begins at the base—and that means having a plan.
Check traffic reports first thing in the morning and sign up to receive parking capacity notifications from your favorite resorts. (Better yet, download the resort app!) Get a head start to score a spot in the early riser lots and take advantage of free parking. There’s nothing worse than searching for parking when the slopes are calling.
Even better, let someone else do the driving and use public transportation. Most member resorts and our mountain towns have super efficient and often free shuttle and bus systems.
